Golf Outing Summary

DATE & TIME: August 26th, 2024. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m.; shotgun start at 11:30 a.m. EST.

LOCATION: Clovernook Country Club; 2035 Galbraith Road; Cincinnati, Ohio 45239

BREAKFAST WITH THE BENGALS: Beginning at 10:00 a.m., Beginning at 10:00 a.m., all golfers are invited to a panel discussion about the upcoming Bengals season with NFL Hall of Famer Anthony Munoz, as well as Dave Lapham, Jim Breech, and Max Montoya. Bengals preseason will have just ended, and our ex-Bengals will have up-to-date insights on the final roster and their outlook for the upcoming season. Bagels, donuts, fruit, juice, and coffee provided.

PLAY FORMAT:  It’s Bearcats vs. Musketeers in a four-man scramble with a two-putt maximum. There will be a challenge hole with a “split-the-pot” for the winner. Mulligans can be purchased for $20 each or six (6) for $100, either in advance or on the day of the event. Trash talking is not required but is strongly encouraged.

SWAG BAG:  In addition to box lunches which our golfers can enjoy at their convenience, golfers will receive a swag bag with several limited-edition, high-quality items, as well as many “comfort” items designed to make the day go more smoothly for our golfers.

PRIZES: The “Most Valuable Golfer” will receive a custom-made blazer from Hellman’s Clothiers (think Masters Green Jacket) if male, or a similar bespoke garment if female. Other prizes will be awarded for closest to the pin, longest putt, etc.

LUNCH: As mentioned above, a box lunch will be provided to all golfers at the start of the event, allowing golfers to eat at their convenience. Beer, seltzers, sodas, and water will be on the course and provided to golfers at no charge throughout the day.

DINNER:  Hey, it’s late August and it’s been hot out there. We’d like our golfers to be able to leave as early as they like or stay as long as they like (or until we start kicking the late-night revelers out ). Open bar and “dinner by the bite” will be available to golfers beginning at 3:30 p.m.

RAFFLES: Raffles will be available for online purchase in advance of the event, throughout the day and into the early evening. We will repeat our Pebble Beach three (3)-night package this year (did you know that staying at a Pebble Beach hotel property is one of the only ways to secure a reserved tee time at Pebble Beach?) This incredible package will also include a round of golf at Pebble Beach
(a $1,250 value on its own). Be on the lookout for a Formula One package and a few other options that will be sure to impress your friends!

2nd ANNUAL BOURBON MALL: Thanks to our CCA Bourbon Curator, Jason Childress, we will once again have available a variety of nearly ungettable, “unicorn” type bourbons rarely seen on store shelves (or even in the state of Ohio for that matter). CCA representatives will be onsite with separate e-commerce capability to facilitate quick and easy checkout. This was extremely popular last year, and we expect a sellout of all inventory again this year.

CHAMPION’S DINNER: This optional “Champion’s Dinner” will take place on Sunday, August 25th, 2024, at Clovernook Country Club, beginning with happy hour at 5:30 p.m. Net proceeds for the event will benefit the Cliff Robson Center for Precision Oncology at Cincinnati Cancer Advisors. If not previously purchased as part of a sponsorship, tickets will be $250 per person and will include a multi-course dinner, open bar, wine pairings, live music, and other surprises.

At this dinner, our guests will hear the amazing story of the unlikely, life-long friendship between University of Cincinnati Bearcat and NBA Hall of Famer – Jack Twyman – and Maurice “Mo” Stokes. Mo suffered a traumatic brain injury on the court that left him completely paralyzed, ending his very promising career in 1958 at the age of 25. Members of the Twyman family will be on hand to tell a story that should be told more often, especially during these troubled times. Prepare for an inspiring evening that will make you leave wanting to do good while no one is looking, as the Twyman family did for so many years until Mo’s eventual passing in 1970.

MAXIMUM ATTENDANCE: 132 golfers and 200+ dinner attendees for the Champion’s Dinner.

ATTIRE: Golf attire (i.e., tasteful casual) throughout the day. Attire for the optional Champion’s Dinner will be business casual.
